The Shift Manager Chef leads a small kitchen team, ensuring excellent food quality and compliance with food safety standards. This role combines hands-on kitchen expertise with leadership and management responsibilities, staff supervision, and occasional catering events. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, a passion for fresh and gluten-free food, and experience with social media to promote the brand. Reporting to the General Manager, the Shift Manager Chef supports the growth of a fun and expanding company while maintaining high standards and efficient shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen operations and lead small team shifts
• Ensure compliance with all food safety standards and inspection requirem
• Manage catering events with occasional local travel
• Oversee staff training, leadership, and shift coordination
• Leverage social media and retail merchandise knowledge to promote the brand
• Utilize POS systems and social media management tools for daily tasks
• Foster creativity and innovation in menu development and food preparation

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of kitchen management experience
• Food Safety Certification and proven compliance expertise
• Strong kitchen management and leadership skills
• Experience with social media marketing

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in gluten-free baking and catering
• Knowledge of retail merchandise
• Experience using Ramp and SafeServ systems
