The Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan. They must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. The appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs must be interpreted. The care provided must align with departmental policies and procedures. Employee will work with patients and employees of all cultural and religious backgrounds. Employee performs within the prescribed limits of the Ethics and Compliance Program. They are responsible for detecting, observing, and reporting compliance variances. All employees must adhere to the Mission, Vision, and Key Values of the organization. The technologist must provide radiographic CT examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation. Professional judgment must be exercised in the performance of procedures. The principles of radiation protection must be applied at all times. Diagnostic medical radiography must be performed within the department and other areas as needed. Patient records and files must be maintained diligently. The technologist must assume responsibility for the departmental quality assurance program. Continuing education is essential for professional development. Patients must be transferred to and from radiology safely. In the absence of a supervisor, departmental responsibilities must be assumed. Shifts may rotate as required. Ancillary duties may be requested by the supervisor. Policies and procedures established by the administration must be followed meticulously. Assistance in maintaining hygiene within the department is necessary. Employees should be able to work well in stressful situations. Willingness to take call and report to work within a specified timeframe is essential. Learning other imaging modalities is expected as per managerial direction. Duties must be performed competently in two fields of imaging.
