REMOTE Senior Full Stack Developer

Senior Full Stack Developer
We are looking for a senior full stack software developer who will develop, maintain, and support a multi-tier, high-performance application that processes massive amounts of genomic data:
- Provide and promote software engineering coding best practices and standards
- Work closely with the application’s architect to migrate various subsystems from legacy on-prem to AWS
- Instrument and analyze performance metrics to ensure existing QoS contracts are maintained and improved
- Implement new features going forward as well as update client-side APIs (both GUI and command-line based) to support them
Education and experience:
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in C#/.NET high-performance application development
Competencies:
- Knowledge of AWS or Kubernetes based clustering software development/runtime environments
- Knowledge of Visual Studio or similar C# IDE framework
- Knowledge of how REST-based APIs work
- Experience in developing and debugging highly-scaled enterprise applications or similar HPC
- Experience in Hadoop or equivalent Map/Reduce frameworks such as AWS EMR, Spark, etc. Is a big plus
- Experience in handling genomic data or equivalent
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools
- Competency in some scripting language such as Powershell or bash
