MRI Supervisor

MRI Technologist

Coordinate and supervise daily operations of MRI services, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal use of equipment and staff resources.

Determines appropriate technical factors to ensure optimal image quality and diagnostic accuracy.

Oversees and reviews revenue reports, and staff/procedure schedules to support operational efficiency.

Performs employee performance evaluations, facilitates new hire orientation, and manages training and competency programs for technologists.

Represents the department and organization in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner when interacting with patients, staff, and vendors.

Collaborates with Administration to meet departmental goals, deadlines, and productivity expectations.

Provide direction, scheduling, training, and performance feedback to technologists and support personnel.

Foster a positive team environment that promotes accountability, professional growth, and high-quality patient care.

Monitor image quality and adherence to protocols and MRI safety standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., DNV, ACR, state/federal regulations).

Ensure compassionate, safe, and professional care is always delivered to patients. Assist with complex or critical imaging procedures as needed.

Coordinate preventive maintenance, service calls, and repairs for imaging equipment. Maintain adequate inventory of supplies while adhering to budget guidelines.

Act as a liaison between radiologists, providers, nursing staff, and other departments to facilitate effective communication and patient care coordination.

Support staff education and continuing competencies. Stay current on advances in imaging technology and practices.

Assist in budgeting, policy development, and performance improvement projects. Participate in staff meetings, committees, and accreditation surveys.

Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a MRI Technologist.

Current certification and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS).
