This role is essential in supporting the healing process and creating a welcoming dining experience within our hospital. Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital, located in Rushville, IL, is a Critical Access Hospital. Now Hiring: 1 Open Position Schedule: - 2nd shift (Full- Time): 9:00am-5:30pm. (Cook every other weekend) May be asked to work other hours when special events are scheduled. JOB SUMMARY: - Prepare and serve meals for patients, staff, and special events with care and attention to quality - Follow recipes and specific diet plans to meet individual nutritional needs - Prepare desserts that brighten our patients days - Portion, plate, and serve meals. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, dining, and storage area. - Store food deliveries efficiently. - Assist with other kitchen duties and special projects as needed. - Day cook position, every other weekend. Regulatory/Educational Requirements to Qualify: - Food Handler's Certification required prior to starting employment. - Food Manager's Certification preferred. If not already obtained, employee must obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment. Certification cost will be reimbursed after one year of service. - High School Diploma/GED.
