Job Description Responsible for assembling electrical equipment, reading and interpreting instructions, assembling parts, and fitting electronic components together. Summary Responsible for assembling electrical equipment, reading and interpreting instructions, assembling parts, and fitting electronic components together by performing the following duties. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Reads and interprets drawings, diagrams, and work orders. Follows written instructions and manufacturing process instructions including basic circuit diagrams and charts. Verifies inventory of received parts against work orders. Connects units to test instruments. Tests functional performance. Assembles electrical systems and installs components, units, and sub-assemblies using tools and soldering equipment. Checks sub-assemblies and assemblies for completeness and correctness of previous operations. Packs finished products for shipment. Inspects, assembles and finishes products. Verifies and understands paperwork throughout the process and at completion. Distributes materials, supplies, and sub-assemblies to designated area. Keeps workstation and area clean. Performs manual soldering to assemble electronic components on printed circuit boards. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and less than one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills. Works with minimal supervision. Attention to detail. Ability to follow directions. Works effectively in a team environment. Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. Proficient with screw drivers. Proficient with electric drill. Proficient with pliers. Proficient with soldering machine. Ability to use hand tools. Hand/eye coordination. Ability to interpret and understand instructions on process sheets. Proficient with Outlook. Work Environment Lift up to 40lbs. Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
