About Greystar Greystar is a global real‑estate platform providing property management, investment, development, and construction services. Job Description Summary The Purchasing Agent supports business operations by ordering products or materials necessary for operations, maintaining supplier relationships, placing orders based on inventory needs, and tracking shipments to the warehouse. Responsibilities Maintain knowledge of supplier requirements and ensure all processes and procedures are followed. Evaluate suppliers considering price, quality, availability, reliability, and other criteria. Interview vendors and visit supplier facilities to learn about products, services, and pricing. Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and prices in coordination with the legal department. Utilize inventory tracking system to record stock levels and anticipate future supply and logistical needs. Verify purchases against a master list and recommend alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products. Interact with suppliers to schedule delivery times, confirm product shipments, and resolve shipping errors. Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain records of transactions, purchases, orders, receipts, and inventories. Collaborate with factory operations and warehousing to ensure sufficient product levels are maintained. Compensation & Benefits Base salary with eligibility for quarterly or annual bonus programs.
