Our health services are designed to help everyone live healthier lives.Business Analysts help derive, interpret, and translate detailed business requirements into in-depth technical software requirements and specifications through analysis on large projects or business contract pursuits.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and alternativesFacilitate communication between different stakeholders, translating between business needs and technical requirementsCollaborate and communicate with product areas and their respective feature teams to develop and implement solutionsDocumenting functional requirements and collaborating with Architect and Engineering partners on non-functional requirements to drive solution decisionsDevelop comprehensive functional end-to-end test plans for epics/workstreams to validate feature delivery meets documented functional requirementsWrite and maintain documentation which could include descriptions of program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and/or correctionsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience developing technical requirements for the implementation of new softwareExperience in technical writing and/or software documentationExperience working as a liaison between IT professionals and operational stakeholdersFoundation understanding of how enterprise applications interact, including data flow across business functionsProven capability to work independently as well as on a team in both a lead and support role and prioritize work while meeting critical deadlinesDemonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel up to 10% United States Citizenship If you are offered this position, you will be required to provide extensive personal information to obtain and maintain a suitability or determination of eligibility for a Confidential/Secret or Top Secret security clearance as a condition of your employmentPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) or other related field with an emphasis in MIS2+ years of experience working as a liaison between IT, internal and external business leads and end user community1+ years of experience developing test cases for implemented softwareExperience working in a health care environmentExperience supporting government contractsSolid understanding of database structures and a foundational grasp of how applications interact and share data across systems*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
