Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit, requiring 1+ years of vascular IR experience and ARRT/BLS certification.
Details
- Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma short-term acute care facility with 615 staffed beds
- Interventional Radiology unit with 4 procedure rooms, 3 equipped with biplane imaging (3 Siemens, 1 GE)
- Treats a wide variety of cases including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
- Daily caseload of 20-30 cases per tech
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Weekend work required
- On-call required 8-10 days per month with one Saturday shift, 30-minute response time, on-call sleep rooms available
- Will float within scope to meet facility needs
- Cerner EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required, with vascular experience required
- BLS and ARRT certifications required (ARRT-R, ARRT-VI required; ARRT Advanced Cert preferred)
- Florida license or compact license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Community hospital experience required, teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I experience required, Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Skills required in PACS, contrast administration, and biopsies
- Experience required with stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostomy, kyphoplasty, peripheral and upper/lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic procedures, vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy
- Prior travel assignment experience required
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of procedures including vascular closures, EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and room circulator duties
- Responsibilities span genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, vascular, and neurological interventional procedures
- Experience with GE Innova IGS, Siemens imaging systems, and ultrasound equipment utilized
- Black or navy scrubs required
- COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- No RTO permitted in contract; guaranteed hours apply after the first call-off per pay period
- Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
- Compliance documents due 10 days prior to start date
- Pass/fail EKG exam required (up to 3 attempts)
