Quality Engineer, General Assembly, Megafactory

What To Expect Tesla is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer for Megapack General Assembly production lines. In this role, you will be responsible for the quality of the parts, the process and the final product. You will partner with design, supply chain, manufacturing and service to develop Tesla’s production process to make high quality products that meet our internal and external customer expectations. The Quality Engineer is a professional problem solver, that can make good use of quality techniques (SixSigma, advanced statistics, Advanced Product Quality Planning, data visualization) to solve quality challenges and develop reliable processes that prevent creation of defects, enabling high quality products that meet the high reliability standards in energy business, contributing to the mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. This role will be based out of the Greater Houston Area (TX) and will require 50% travel to the Bay Area (CA) to support early builds and validation support for the next 3-4 months. What You'll Do Develop and implement comprehensive quality management system to ensure product specifications and industry standards are met Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and defects, and report on quality performance to company stakeholders.
