Program Manager

The Department of Health, Division of Senior and Disabilities Services, is recruiting for an experienced and self-motivated program manager to join the SDS Grants Unit team. In this position, you will be responsible for the full scope of statewide program planning, administration, development, management, implementation, and evaluation of grant-funded services for Alaska's seniors and individuals experiencing a disability. This will include managing multiple grant programs with varying requirements and structures. Additionally, in this position you will also:

• partner closely with grantees and community-based agencies to ensure effective program implementation and use of grant funds, providing technical assistance and developing training materials;
• work collaboratively with State and community partners;
• manage a variety of service delivery programs, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of these services.

Frequent travel within the state of Alaska is required in this position. The working environment you can expect is located in the Juneau SDS office building. Address: 240 Main St., Juneau, Alaska. 99801 Start and stop times are flexible between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, and hybrid telework options are available after the initial orientation period.

• Oral and Written Communication: Expresses information effectively, makes clear and convincing oral and written presentations, listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
• Program Oversight: Plans, coordinates, and monitors programs to ensure that federal, state, and/or local government program requirements and plans are met, and provides professional consultation on the program's specialized services and associated projects.

This position requires frequent travel within the state. A valid and current Alaskan driver's License is required at the time of appointment.
