Event Support Staff Mic Wranglers (Short-Term Contract)

Pay Rate: $18$19/hour on W2

Dates: May 1415, 2026

Shift Timing:

• May 14: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
• May 15: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM

Role Overview

We are hiring Event Support Staff (Mic Wranglers) for a professional conference. This is a short-term, fully on-site role supporting live sessions and ensuring a smooth experience for attendees and speakers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage microphones during live Q&A sessions by moving through the audience
• Provide basic stage support, including replenishing water for speakers
• Track and report session attendance counts
• Coordinate with on-site supervisors to ensure sessions run on time

Reporting

• Report on-site to designated event supervisors for daily instructions and coordination

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor in a live event environment
• Comfortable interacting with attendees and working in front of groups
• Reliable and punctual

Dress Code (Mandatory)

• Solid/plain black business pants and blazer
• White dress shirt
• Black professional shoes

Additional Details

• Short-term contract role; no extension guaranteed
• No prior event experience required, but it is a plus
• On-site guidance will be provided
