Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Bakersfield. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients within the Labor and Delivery Department according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The role includes supervising nursing staff, collaborating with the healthcare team, and ensuring a safe, compassionate environment for new mothers and their babies.

Job Details

• Schedule: 8-hour shift, 40 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/10/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; experience in an acute care facility preferred; licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ARC-Advanced Life Support (ALS) required; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required; AHA-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or ARC-Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) required;
  
• Preferred Qualifications: EPIC experience highly preferred.
• Additional Information: The position requires proficiency in patient data collection, care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes is essential. The nurse will participate in discharge planning and delegate duties appropriately to team members. All clinical responsibilities must adhere to safety and quality standards.
