Hematology/Oncology Physician

Assignment Details

• Location: Providence, Rhode Island

• Start Date: September 28, 2026

• Duration: 26 weeks

• Positions: 1

• Practice Setting: Acute Care Hospital

• Coverage: Full-Time Scheduled + On Call

• EMR: Approximately 80% paper / 20% Meditech

Compensation: Hourly Rate - $445/hr, Overtime - $600/hr, Holiday - $600/hr, 24-Hour Call - $3110 per 24 hours, Night Call - $370/hr, Call Back - $600/hr.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

• Clinic: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Night Call: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM

• Weekend Call: 1–2 weekends per month

• Weekend Call: 7:00 AM–7:00 AM (24-hour call)

• 3 hours gratis

Clinical Responsibilities

• Hematology/Oncology clinic coverage

• Outpatient Hematology/Oncology care

• Daily inpatient rounding based on consult volume

• Approximately 1–2 hours of inpatient rounding daily

• Night and weekend call coverage

• Biopsies as needed

Patient Volume

• Outpatient: Approximately 18–22 patients

• Inpatient: Varies based on consult volume

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology

• Rhode Island medical license required for assignment

• DEA required

• Rhode Island CSR required

• Client will wait for provider to obtain RI license, DEA, and CSR

• Verification of Board Certification required with submission

• Verification of RI license required with submission if already licensed

Credentialing

• Temporary privileges may be available for an earlier start

• Client will wait for Rhode Island licensure
