Mechanical Design Engineer OpportunityAre you a passionate Mechanical Design Engineer looking to make a significant impact on cutting-edge projects?We are seeking a talented and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to join the dynamic engineering team of a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of specialized tooling for the aerospace and defense industries.About the Role:As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of technical projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for the technical, administrative, and budgetary management of your projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and translate specifications and technical requirements into mechanical design terms.Conduct preliminary and detailed mechanical design of complex mechanical assemblies.Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) tools, particularly CATIA V5, to create and refine designs.Integrate and coordinate specialties related to mechanics, thermics, vacuum, and other relevant disciplines.Perform structural calculations (mechanical, thermal, etc.) and generate comprehensive design files.Organize and report on tests and adjustments.Develop technical documentation, including notices and reports.Manage projects in accordance with quality and product assurance standards.Monitor the manufacturing and construction of projects, both in-house and subcontracted.Provide technical expertise and support to internal stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with the latest materials, design tools, and methodologies.Manage material resources for the mechanical design office.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in mechanical design, ideally within an industrial tooling or related environment.Proficiency in CAD software, particularly CATIA V5.Familiarity with ABAQUS and ADAMS is highly desirable.Experience in project engineering management within an industrial setting.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to manage project costs and budgets in a multi-disciplinary environment.What They Offer:Salary: $100,000 - $120,000Comprehensive benefits package.Opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects with a global leader.Dynamic and multicultural work environment.Professional growth and development opportunities.
