This role supports design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements for electrical equipment, controls, and power distribution. The engineer develops and manages preventive maintenance programs, ensures regulatory compliance, and provides technical support for 24/7 operations. Additional responsibilities include managing electrical projects and budgets, conducting root cause analyses, and collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to improve plant performance.What you will do:Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the plant's electrical systems, including design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, control systems, and power distribution.Serve as the primary point of contact for AC drive reliability, predictive, and preventive maintenance.Conduct routine inspections and audits of electrical systems and equipment; troubleshoot issues; and develop preventative maintenance programs.Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements through inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions.Oversee installation, repairs, and upgrades of electrical systems; manage related projects; and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams.Assist in developing capital project programs, including budget management and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Design, adapt, and implement improvements to plant electrical systems to enhance reliability and performance.Apply continuous improvement methodologies to drive process and system optimization.Participate in Operations/BOD and Maintenance call teams as assigned.Perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective solutions, including process design modifications.Manage and support electrical systems within assigned process areas or mill-wide infrastructure, including specialized mill equipment when required.Provide training to mill supervisors (train-the-trainer) on new or modified equipment.Report directly to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.Manages E&I Supervisor, vendors and contractorsPerform other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: This position supervises exempt and dotted line to non-exempt support staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
