Compensation & Perks Hourly rate ranging from $36 to $42, commensurate with your background Comprehensive medical coverage Retirement savings through a 401(k) program Paid time off benefits A $1,000 bonus upon joining the team Standard Schedule Monday through Thursday Consistent 4x10 hour shifts Additional hours as project needs dictate Core Responsibilities Manage all mechanical field tasks while contributing to critical installations and resolving technical challenges Execute the installation, leveling, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical systems like compressors, pumps, and conveyors to ensure operational efficiency Organize daily workflows, including manpower distribution, material staging, and equipment requirements Safely maneuver heavy metal components using hoists, forklifts, and overhead cranes to help the team achieve precise equipment placement Navigate elevated or difficult work zones while strictly adhering to site safety protocols and OSHA standards Ensure the jobsite remains orderly and clean throughout every shift Comply with all established safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site‑specific requirements Promote a culture of safety by conducting briefings and immediately correcting any hazardous behaviors or conditions Support the team in final site cleanup once tasks are finished Complete additional responsibilities as requested Physical Demands Capacity to balance, climb, lift 50 pounds, and work at significant heights Strong hand‑eye coordination for the safe operation of tools and machinery Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks that shift throughout the day Ability to maintain focus and mobility while working in diverse conditions on active sites Qualifications At least 10 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical construction A strong desire to grow and master the industrial mechanical trade Capacity to follow directions and contribute to a collaborative team environment Proficiency with power and manual tools, such as calipers, squares, and saws Possession of a valid driver’s license Aptitude for learning basic computer tasks to document progress and manage communications Required Tooling While you are expected to provide your own journeyman‑level hand tools, any specialized testing equipment, power tools, or additional gear necessary for specific projects will be supplied. Scope & Limitations Journeyman‑level experience is required, though a formal mechanical license is not mandatory. You will perform independent mechanical tasks within your designated scope. You will provide direct supervision to various trades, including Riggers, Welders, Millwrights, and Helpers, ensuring overall crew productivity. Conduct system modifications, preventative maintenance, and shutdown operations on mechanical systems. Collaborate with engineers, superintendents, and project managers to ensure all trades are aligned for project success. Adhere to safety standards and maintain a tidy work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. This is a physically demanding role involving crouching, bending, lifting, and handling heavy loads. Frequent interaction with heavy tools and equipment. Comfort working in various environments, including outdoor sites, manufacturing plants, and shutdown facilities. Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and project managers to help the team reach critical project milestones. Monitor schedules and adjust staffing levels to ensure deadlines are met. Review specifications and drawings to maintain scope accuracy. Track production metrics and provide regular progress updates to leadership. Supervise major equipment setting, rigging plans, and deliveries. Multi-Trade Coordination & Leadership Proven ability to manage diverse crews, including fabricators, ironworkers, and millwrights. Deep understanding of equipment support systems and structural steel installation. Expertise in industrial rigging, including crane coordination and lift planning. Familiarity with rotating equipment tolerances and millwright alignment procedures. Ability to interpret complex fabrication drawings and manage field modifications. Lead multi-trade shutdown strategies and overall site sequencing. Validate and approve major lift sequences and rigging plans before work begins.
