Wound Care Nurse
Job Details
- Assess wounds; determine wound care needs and frequency with wound care physician.
- Assist with providing direct patient care for wound care clients
- Teach and educate clients, families and coordinate care with other nurses
- Perform wound VAC dressing changes
- Plan, organize, develop, coordinate, and direct our infection prevention and control program
- Participate in the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to ensure that an effective infection prevention program is follwed
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Current RN or LPN License in the state of Florida
- Wound care certification and/or 1 year wound care experience
- CPR certified
- Experience with wound VAC dressing changes
- Must possess a working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases, and aseptic technique to include standard/transmission -based precautions.
- APIC Certification in infection prevention and control preferred, but not necessary.
