What they’re looking for:

• BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology required.
• Certification of Medical Technology (ASCP).
• 3 years Laboratory Leadership experience required in hospital setting.

Hours and compensation potential:

• The position is day shift.
• The range is between $90K-$140K depending on experience.
• The facility offers a full benefit package including sign-on bonus.

What you’ll be doing:

• The Laboratory Director is responsible for the direction and effective operation of the Laboratory Department which includes planning, controlling and monitoring operational performance of the Laboratory.
• Ensuring compliance with departmental and administrative policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with TJC, state and federal regulatory agencies; ensuring compliance with the College of American Pathologists standards and performance of surveys.
• Develops/monitors quality control programs, continuous quality improvement, and participating in interdepartmental quality management.
• Ensures quality and timeliness of patient test results by investigating problems involving specimen collection, result reporting and turnaround time; designing, researching, reviewing, and writing format for laboratory manuals

• Position reports to the CNO.
• The facility is a 40 beds and also has a family practice/urgent care in a couple other locations.
• The facility maintains a Gold Seal of Approval® from The Joint Commission, is an Accredited Chest Pain Center, a Stroke designated facility, a National Quality Leader and has been named a Top 100 and Top 20 rural and community hospital several times.
