Cost Accountant

Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, and cost of goods sold (COGS) Maintain standard costing and perform variance analysis for labor, materials, and overhead Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support month-end close activities Monitor inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory valuation Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and manufacturing cost reporting Partner with operations and production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities Track production variances and provide recommendations to improve profitability Support annual standard cost updates and product costing initiatives Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls Assist with internal and external audit requests Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP) Ability to communicate effectively with accounting and operations teams CMA designation or progress toward certification is a plus Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
