Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Maintain a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health records
• Float between like units within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
• Participate in on-call requirements as determined by unit needs
• Work a rotating weekend schedule and be available for at least 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN License (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Willingness to float between sister facilities as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
• Familiarity with block scheduling in a hospital environment
• Experience working in an acute care hospital with 200 or more staffed beds
