By joining the Division of Financial Management, Capital Construction Branch as a Budget Manager in Franklincounty, you will have the opportunity to work with the analysis and resolution of cabinet capital budgetissues, work with the cabinet's six year capital plan and biennial budget, and manage employees responsible forthe daily operations of the branch.

Holders of the Budget Manager position will complete tasks such as:

• Manages budget specialists, federal program specialists and activities within the Branch.
• Reviews and approves all capital construction eMars transactions and SAS documents.
• Coordinates the Cabinet's Six Year Captial Plan.
• Keeps management informed of financial impacts and concerns.

Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:

• Experience with eMars; specifically capital account tracking and transactions.
• Experience with eComm.
• State budgeting experience.
• Proficient in excel.
• Understanding of construction project management.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Six years of professional experience in budget administration, financial analysis and/or forecasting, statistical analysis, accounting, financial auditing, or a related field.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Professional experience in budget administration, financial analysis and/or forecasting, statistics, accounting, financial auditing, planning, or related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
