Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on Class 8 semi-trucks and trailers. You will play a critical role in ensuring our fleet and customer vehicles remain safe, efficient, and compliant on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and complex electrical systems issues.
• Repairs & Maintenance: Perform comprehensive repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, drivetrains, air systems, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine PM services to maximize vehicle uptime.
• Safety & Compliance: Perform thorough DOT inspections and ensure all work adheres to safety regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services completed.
• Shop Excellence: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all shop safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience working as a mechanic on Class 8 heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Tools: Must possess a personal inventory of basic mechanic tools required for daily tasks.
• Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic capabilities and a solid understanding of heavy-duty truck systems.
• License: Must have a valid driver’s license (a Commercial Driver’s License / CDL is a major plus).
• Soft Skills: Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Additional Skills: Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
