Senior Manager, Quality & Product Development

Join Emerson's Mag & Vortex business as a strategic leader responsible for Quality, New Product Development (NPD), and Engineering Design Approvals. Based in Eden Prairie, MN, this role combines functional leadership with business-wide influence, driving strategic initiatives that improve business performance, accelerate innovation, and ensure compliance.

As a member of the leadership team, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, solve complex business challenges, develop organizational capability, and help shape the long-term direction of the business.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• As a member of the leadership team, help shape and execute the overall strategic vision of the business, contributing beyond assigned functional responsibilities to drive continued growth and success.
• Develop the capability and engagement of a multi-level, matrixed team through coaching, feedback, exposure, and meaningful stretch assignments.
• Take ownership of high-priority strategic projects and emerging business challenges, including work that falls outside defined functional responsibilities.
• Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation, establishing clear outcomes, governance, decisions, and accountability.
• Influence across the organization to align leaders and teams, resolve barriers, and convert strategic priorities into sustained business results.
• Quality
  • Provide strategic leadership in developing, implementing, and continuously improving robust quality management systems to ensure product excellence.
  • Drive initiatives for root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and quality performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer satisfaction.
• New Product Development
  • Supervise the project management function to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet performance objectives.
  • Champion accelerating NPD effectiveness, seeing opportunities to streamline workflows, and increase efficiency, ultimately accelerating time-to-market and improving product success.
  • Cultivate innovation by championing a culture of creativity, collaboration, and experimentation within the NPD team.
• Approvals and Compliance
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry trends, providing strategic mentorship and direction to ensure proactive compliance.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree
• Eight years of related experience, three of which must be in product engineering, manufacturing, new product development / project management, or equivalent
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in leadership or management of people
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
  
  

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or STEM major
• MBA degree preferred
• Experience in the process control industry
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to influence across functions and levels, lead through ambiguity, and drive strategic cross-functional initiatives to measurable outcomes.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $185,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
