Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Overview Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) provides specialized education programming for K-12 students who require additional educational and positive behavioral supports to overcome challenges that impede success in a traditional school setting. Every child deserves to reach their full potential, and we’re looking to hire an exceptional Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) who will play an essential role in fueling student success. The SLPA will be responsible for providing intervention in the areas of articulation, language, and fluency. They will assess student needs, provide high-quality speech and language therapy, and collaborate with school personnel and families to provide services to students. Responsibilities Designs and implements intervention programs to remediate deficit speech/language skills of identified students. Collaborates with school personnel and parents to design and implement the student’s intervention plan, individual service plan, or individual student plan to address the student’s needs. Offers consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of the student’s speech-language goals. Acts as a resource to parents, school personnel, and other caregivers in the area of speech/language development. Administers appropriate screening and/or diagnostic tests to determine a child’s speech/language competency, if requested. Interprets diagnostic tests, identifies strengths and weaknesses in areas of speech/language skills, and generates reports providing feedback to school personnel and parents. Stays knowledgeable about all policies and procedures established for these services. Completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. Light lifting, walking, and/or climbing stairs may be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning is required. Valid Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license/credential is required. Salary: USD $37.00 - USD $40.00 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
