HVAC Estimator II

Job Title: Plumbing/HVAC Estimator II Pay $56,000 - $85,000 annual salary - Based on skills, experience, performance and ongoing training attendance. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed Plumbing/HVAC estimates including labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions. Develop and deliver accurate, timely estimates while keeping stakeholders abreast of status. Independently manage assigned bids from opportunity review through final proposal submission. Analyze drawings, specifications, and addenda to ensure complete and executable scope coverage. Solicit, evaluate, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing. Identify project risks, constructability challenges, and value-engineering opportunities. Apply company estimating standards, historical data, and pricing strategies. Collaborate with sales and operations to align pricing, risk, and execution plans. Participate in scope reviews and turnover meetings to support strong project starts. Maintain organized estimate documentation for awarded and lost work. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Qualifications 3–7 years of commercial Plumbing/HVAC estimating experience. Demonstrated ability to independently support $6–10M in annual awarded work. Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and construction means and methods. Experience with estimating and takeoff software (FastDUCT, FastPIPE, Bluebeam, Bidtracer, etc.). Visionary mindset able to think beyond the current bid and understand long‑term impact. Self‑motivated and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership. Thrives in a team‑oriented culture focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills. Leadership experience a plus.
