WK Pierremont Shreveport, LA Allied Health Full-Time, Night, 10PM-6:30AM Posted 08/20/2026 Req # 10846 Lab Lab-Phlebotomy We are seeking a highly organized, efficient, and multi-functional phlebotomist with excellent communication skills. The ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, is required. The candidate must possess skills in following policies and procedures, commitment to tasks and attention to detail, decision‑making and problem‑solving. A phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood specimens and interacting with patients and clients. Must have excellent phlebotomy and customer service skills and be able to work independently in order to provide excellent care. Specific Job Duties Primarily responsible for the collection of blood specimens for the clinical laboratory. Computer test order entry in our outpatient settings, specimen collection data entry and assisting caregivers with patient reports. Preparing a laboratory for inspection by regulatory agencies. Monitoring, maintaining, ordering and stocking laboratory supplies. Providing customer service to answer questions from patient providers regarding patient results or sample collection techniques or questions. Laboratory Training/Continuing Education All employees are required to attend hospital orientation on the initial start date and then will proceed to the laboratory to undergo an extensive training program which covers all areas of the phlebotomy position. We provide a one‑on‑one approach to this process, which typically is completed within the first 1 to 2 months of hire. Annual continuing education is provided by Willis Knighton in an effort to maintain competency in phlebotomy skills, safety and general laboratory areas. This also provides employees with CEUs to maintain certification requirements. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a phlebotomy-training program or equivalent experience. National Phlebotomy Certification is required. Computer experience and some knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Specific Job Responsibilities 6PM-6:30AM — 7 on/off with a rotation in the phlebotomy on-call schedule. #J-18808-Ljbffr
