Lead Software Engineer

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with formal software engineering training or certification and at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
• We need experience building high-volume, low-latency, high-throughput transactional systems.
• We want experience developing microservices with Java/Spring Boot and Python/FastAPI or Flask.
• We require experience with AWS services such as S3, DynamoDB, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, and ALB/NLB.
• We value experience using pair-programming agents such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code to speed up prototyping.
• We need a track record of leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted development tools for coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with clear expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and compliance with resiliency and security standards.
• We need solid knowledge of RDBMS, schema design, SQL, query optimization, indexing, joins, and JDBC.
• We want agile development experience with Scrum or similar methodologies.
• We require an AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification.
• We are looking for excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

• We will ask you to design and implement enterprise-grade machine learning platforms that deploy and run predictive models at scale.
• You will build web applications using service-oriented and microservices architectures with Java and Python frameworks.
• You will integrate our solutions with AWS cloud services, including compute, storage, databases, and security components.
• You will create tools and automation to improve monitoring, provisioning, process flow, services, and reporting.
• You will establish monitoring and alerting frameworks to support performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
• You will help drive adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• You will apply SDLC tooling knowledge, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase automation value.
• You will work closely with Product teams to design, build, and deliver capabilities through agile sprints.
• You will use operational insight to recommend improvements to upstream products, processes, and policies that enhance the user experience.
• You will leverage AI agents and emerging technologies to build prototypes and present them to peers, business partners, and senior leadership.
• You will deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to code optimization, performance tuning, and engineering best practices.
