Pay: $390.00 – $410.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; 3 clinic days plus 2 OR days per week
Start: August 2026 (90-day credentialing window)
Duration: 13 weeks, with extension opportunities

About the Role

ShareSTAFF is seeking a Board-Certified Urologist with da Vinci Xi robotic surgery proficiency for a 13-week locum tenens assignment at a flagship community health system serving Topeka, Kansas and the surrounding region. The schedule is structured for clinical efficiency: three dedicated outpatient clinic days per week paired with two full OR days on the da Vinci Xi system. This is a defined, well-organized assignment, not a gap-fill or on-call-heavy coverage role. The successful candidate steps into a structured caseload supported by an experienced OR team, an established multi-campus outpatient network, and capable administrative infrastructure, providing continuity of urological care while the health system continues its permanent physician search.

What You'll Do

• Perform robotic urological surgery using the da Vinci Xi system on 2 dedicated OR days per week
• Provide comprehensive outpatient urology care across 3 clinic days per week
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a full spectrum of urological conditions including urologic oncology, stone disease, BPH and lower urinary tract symptoms, and pelvic floor pathology
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and clinical teams including urology nursing, OR staff, and specialty coordinators
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with facility, state, and Joint Commission standards
• Support continuity of urological care during the health system's active permanent physician search

What You Bring - Required

• Active, unrestricted Kansas medical license, or eligibility to obtain via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact prior to start
• Board Certification in Urology at the time of assignment
• Demonstrated proficiency with the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system
• Full-time availability for the duration of the 13-week assignment
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to complete client-specific credentialing within the 90-day credentialing window

What You Bring - Preferred

• Experience in urologic oncology including robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy, or cystectomy
• High-volume robotic surgery background (200 or more console cases)
• Experience practicing in a community or regional health system environment
• Familiarity with Joint Commission documentation standards in a surgical setting
• Fellowship training in Urologic Oncology, Reconstructive Urology, or Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS)
