The Role This is a hands-on executive sales role focused on new business development. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll own the U.S. commercial strategy while maintaining an active field presence. Success will be measured by customer acquisition, revenue growth, strategic account development, and long-term partnerships. This role is designed for an executive who enjoys building business rather than managing existing accounts. Once business is secured, implementation and ongoing customer support are managed by dedicated operational teams. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for: Developing and executing a proactive sales strategy to acquire new clients across the company's core service lines, including warehousing, distribution, drayage, transloading, and integrated supply chain solutions. Generating new business opportunities by leveraging your established industry network. Identifying and engaging key decision-makers at target accounts through direct outreach and industry relationships. Partnering with executive leadership to shape service positioning and to develop new commercial opportunities and growth initiatives. What We're Looking For Warehousing & distribution industry experience : 15+ years of experience specifically within the warehousing, distribution, and integrated logistics sector. Experience exclusively in freight forwarding or NVOCC environments is unlikely to align with this position's requirements. Active, portable network : You have dedicated years to cultivating relationships with decision-makers at manufacturers, importers, and distributors. Hands-on, field-oriented selling : You are willing to visit clients, attend industry events, and build relationships personally. This role will not be suitable for individuals who delegate business development responsibilities. Senior-level hunter mentality : You combine the drive of a hunter with the credibility, relationships, and commercial instincts developed through years of success. Entrepreneurial and results-driven : You thrive on autonomy, set your own priorities, and measure your success based on new clients and increased revenue. Bilingual (English & Spanish) : Fluency in both languages is strongly preferred to effectively serve the diverse Florida business market. Executive presence : You are comfortable presenting to and working alongside C-suite leadership. You communicate with confidence, credibility, and precision. Target Markets for Your Sales Efforts The company serves a broad range of industries and commodity types across the U.S. market. You will be developing relationships with shippers, importers, manufacturers, and distributors operating across sectors, including: Consumer Goods Food & Beverage Manufacturing Building Materials Paper & Packaging Gas & Energy Products Bulk & Project Cargo Your primary market will be Florida, with a national scope across key U.S. distribution hubs. The ideal candidate will already have established relationships in several of these verticals and will be able to activate them from day one. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $180,000 annually + performance-based incentive plan. Additional benefit details and commission structure will be discussed during the interview process.
