Administrative Specialist Department: Administration Employment Type: Full Time Location: Rolla - W 6th Street Reporting To: Deb Frost, Cathy Grigg Compensation: $17.89 / hour Description Keep Teams Connected and Operations Running Smoothly Behind the Scenes Schedule: Full-time, days The Administrative Specialist provides high-level administrative and operational support to department leadership, helping ensure efficient daily operations, strong communication, and organized workflows across the department. This role serves as a central point of coordination for projects, reporting, meetings, and community engagement activities while supporting continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for department communication, including phone calls, emails, and team coordination Provide administrative and clerical support to department leadership and team members Maintain spreadsheets, software systems, filing systems, and departmental documentation to support operational efficiency Assist with presentations, reports, dashboards, and other department materials Coordinate meetings, trainings, logistics, and department-related events Support community engagement activities and advisory board communications Monitor departmental processes and identify opportunities for workflow improvements Assist with receipt and distribution of deliveries and other operational support tasks Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting activities as assigned Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise High School/GED required Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools, as well as expertise in the software used by the department required Excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills required Initiative to manage multiple projects using high-level analytical skills required Organizational skills combined with good decision-making skills and the ability to be flexible in task assignments required Must possess a valid driver’s license upon hire #J-18808-Ljbffr
