Position Summary The Surgical Technician assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. - Prepare operating rooms in a timely manner with all necessary instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile instrument table and follow department standard setup for efficiency.
- Assist surgeons intraoperatively by anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth procedural flow.
- Accurately complete operating room counts (instruments, sponges, needles) and report any discrepancies.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments following established protocols.
- Follow proper aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist in patient positioning, prepping, and draping for surgical procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government laws, regulations, AAOA, and company policies.
- Document procedures and patient interactions in accordance with standards and guidelines.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, colleagues, and self by adhering to safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Float Expectations: This position covers both the Woodstock and Buckhead locations. xywuqvp Travel to both locations is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Operating Room Technician Certification required
- Current BCLS Certification required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the operating room required
- Other Requirements:
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent bedside manners and patient interaction abilities
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry instrument trays and equipment
- Ability to assist in moving patients and positioning them for surgery
