Occupational Therapist (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support a diverse student population across a district serving grades K-12. This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals ready to make a lasting difference throughout four school buildings, providing essential therapy services and collaborating closely with educational teams. In this role, the OT will support students across all grade levels throughout the district, while the COTA will focus primarily on 5th12th grades with some services for select 2nd4th grade students under OT supervision. The assignment is full-time (3537.5 hours per week), following the school calendar from late August to mid-June.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services to K12 students, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure therapy is aligned with curricular goals.
• Conduct assessments, maintain documentation, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate with the COTA to ensure continuity of care.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in pediatric and school-based occupational therapy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid VT OT or COTA certification is required.
• Previous school-based OT/COTA experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-building, district-wide setting.
• Comfortable contributing to both in-person and virtual support models.
