Hair Stylist Long Term Care

Job Summary

The responsibilities of this position include providing beautician and barber services to residents of Rehab and Nursing facilities.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for cutting and styling hair consistent with resident’s requests. Wash, rinse, and dry resident’s hair using appropriate shampoos, conditioners, and other necessary hair products.

• Maintains cleanliness in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and ensures work area is clean and equipment is always sterilized.

• Coordinate and schedule appointments for residents. Communicate with residents to ensure satisfaction of services. Promotes a friendly and positive atmosphere in the delivery of services.

• Contributes positively to the Quality of Life Team and keeps direct report informed of significant issues.

• Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 1 year of relevant experience Barber or Hair Stylist experience

• LIC-Cosmetologist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire

Preferred

• 1 year of relevant experience in a long-term care setting
