CNC Machinist / Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set-up and operate 3-5 axis lathes to produce parts to precise dimensions and within close tolerances
• Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously
• Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.
• Calculate where to cut or bore.
• Select tools and materials for the job.
• Monitor and control feed rate and speed.
• Ensure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled.
• Monitor the accuracy of cuts.
• Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.
• Use manual and computer-controlled machinery.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to set up and operate 3-5 axis machines
• Ability to use measuring tools.
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Must be able to comprehend blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents.
• Willing to work non-standard and/or additional hours on short notice to support near term customer milestones and schedules (Overtime, Off-shifts)
• Must pass a hands-on exam that will test your general knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk up and down stairs
• Lift and carry up to 25lbs.
• Push up to 50lbs on a rolling cart

Compensation commensurate with experience

Must be able to pass a drug screen for substances illegal in the state of California as well as a background check.
