MEDICAL CLAIMS SPECIALIST

A healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Medical Claims Specialist to join its revenue cycle team. In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of medical billing, working proactively to resolve denied claims and minimize aging accounts receivable while maintaining strong, professional communication with insurance payers. Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities

• Check patient insurance coverage and secure required prior authorizations before appointments to prevent coverage issues.

• Prepare and submit clean medical claims to insurance carriers using accurate CPT codes.

• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOB/ERA) statements, post payments, and flag payment variances or underpayments.

• Analyze denial codes to identify rejections, correct claim errors, and file formal appeals to recover unpaid revenue.

• Contact insurance payers, check online portals, and resolve unpaid claims within strict timely filing deadlines.

• Ability to assist with project-based assignments as needed
