Location: San Jose, CA 100% onsite
Salary Range: $120K/year -$165/year DOE
Work Schedule: Mon-Fr, 8am-5pm

We are actively seeking a  Systems Administrator to join a growing construction-focused organization that relies on secure, high-performing technology to support complex field and office operations. In this role, you will oversee critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, network performance, and enterprise systems across multiple locations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on systems administration experience within the  construction industry , understands the unique technology demands of construction operations, and can partner effectively with both technical and operational teams to deliver reliable business solutions.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Administer and enhance enterprise servers, networks, security platforms, and core business systems to ensure dependable day-to-day operations.
• Monitor infrastructure health, identify vulnerabilities, and implement upgrades that strengthen performance, reliability, and security.
• Develop, maintain, and regularly test disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity strategies.
• Evaluate network utilization and performance metrics while implementing improvements that increase efficiency and availability.
• Advance cybersecurity initiatives through access management, multi-factor authentication, backup validation, and firewall oversight.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex support issues and provide guidance to IT support team members.
• Partner with technology leadership, developers, and operational stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Coordinate with external vendors to deploy, test, and improve infrastructure technologies and networking solutions.
• Support enterprise infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and system enhancements.
• Travel periodically to regional locations and provide hands-on support for critical technology needs.

To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 
• 4+ years of systems, server, and network administration experience within the construction industry required.  
• Construction industry systems administration experience is required , including supporting technology platforms, infrastructure, and users in a multi-location construction, engineering, utilities, heavy civil, or contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of technology environments supporting construction operations, including ERP platforms, project management systems, estimating applications, document management solutions, and field connectivity requirements. 
• Experience supporting or administering construction-focused software platforms such as Viewpoint, B2W, HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar industry solutions. 
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking, including VLANs, VPNs, routing, security controls, and performance optimization. 
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience. 
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Azure, NPS, RADIUS, and complex Group Policy administration. 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SQL, Azure, SharePoint, VMware, Veeam, and Windows Server environments. 
• Preferred certifications such as MCSE, CCNP, Cisco Meraki, or other relevant enterprise infrastructure credentials. 
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support both field and office-based teams.
