As a Career Development Specialist, you'll serve as a trusted guide for individuals throughout their employment journey. You'll help participants navigate barriers, create career plans, connect to resources, and stay motivated as they work toward stable employment and financial independence.

What You'll Do
As the primary point of contact for a caseload of approximately 100+ participants, you will provide individualized guidance and support from enrollment through program completion.
Career Coaching & Employment Planning
- Develop personalized career plans aligned with participant goals, interests, strengths, and employment aspirations.
- Help participants identify career pathways that lead to sustainable employment.
- Evaluate when education, training, certifications, or volunteer opportunities may strengthen employability.
- Connect participants to job opportunities that align with their skills and career objectives.
- Provide ongoing encouragement, coaching, and accountability throughout the participant journey.
Case Management & Support Services
- Build strong, trusting relationships with participants.
- Conduct regular participant check-ins and progress reviews.
- Help individuals address barriers that may impact employment success.
- Coordinate referrals to internal and community-based support services.
- Support participants in accessing educational, wellness, financial, and employment-related resources.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case notes within required systems.
Participant Engagement
- Utilize multiple communication methods, including phone, email, text, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions.
- Create meaningful engagement strategies tailored to each participant's needs.
- Promote active participation in programs and ongoing engagement.
- Respond to participant inquiries within established service standards.
Performance & Outcomes
- Monitor participant progress toward employment goals and program milestones.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in Salesforce and Fedcap CARES.
- Review caseload performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to maximize participant success.
- Contribute to achieving program performance targets and employment outcomes.
You're a Great Fit If You Have
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One year of experience in:
- Workforce Development
- Career Services
- Case Management
- Human Services
- Social Services
- Education
- Healthcare Administration
- Human Resources
- Hospitality or Customer Service Leadership
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

- Strong relationship-building and engagement skills

- Ability to motivate and coach individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including:

- Experience working with databases, CRM systems, or case management systems
- Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centered service delivery

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office setting and utilizes standard office technology and case management systems.

Schedule
Full-time position.
Typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Occasional evening hours may be required to support participant engagement and program activities.
Travel
Occasional travel between program locations for training, meetings, or coverage purposes.
