About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: Basic Life Support Must-Have: EPIC charting experience required Previous charge experience recommended Patient ratio experience preferred Description: This unit consists of 34 beds, with 6 progressive and 15 telemetry patients. It serves as a primary unit for Client, Neurosurgery, and ENT. Patients are admitted with diagnoses such as stroke, seizures, dementia, and neuromuscular disorders. Neurosurgery patients may include those with head, neck, or back trauma, as well as elective surgeries. ENT patients will typically have undergone radical neck surgeries due to trauma or cancer. Additional services include surgery trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, and medicine. Stable ventilators can also be accommodated in this unit. An interdisciplinary support team is available, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Candidates will float within their scope if needed. BSN is preferred for applicants. Please note that there is a natural nail policy applicable for staff. Modules will be assigned during orientation and vary by specialty.
