Job Description Koa Kea Resort on Poipu Beach, 2251 Poipu Road, Koloa, Hawaii, United States of America Posted Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM What you will accomplish Maintain the cleanliness of the guest rooms and the public areas. Perform tasks that require lifting, pulling, and pushing a moderate weight; this is a fast‑paced position. Provide warm, hospitable guest relations and respond to individual guest needs as they occur. Move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, dust public areas, polish metalwork and furniture, fixtures and fittings, and vacuum floors. Collect soiled linens for laundering, clean bathrooms and common areas, and supply your own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift. Deliver ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll‑away beds to guest rooms and remove debris from driveways and garage areas. Shampoo carpets using a shampoo machine, strip, seal, and wax floors according to proper procedures with any necessary safety equipment. Restock shelves with paper supplies, clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, offices, and other work areas. Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using a vacuum cleaner and shampoo machines. Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork; wash windows, door panels, and sills; empty and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays; transport garbage and waste to the disposal area; replenish common area bathroom supplies. Accurately report all items in need of repair to the supervisor and maintain equipment used in the work. Protect guest safety and well‑being; be courteous to all guests and co‑workers. Thoroughly complete projects and assignments professionally with care. Adjust to high‑pressure conditions and be open to change; assume responsibility for personal growth and development. Conduct yourself professionally at all times; express ideas and convey information clearly, effectively, and professionally. Scrupulously follow all Ko’a Kea Hotel & Resort policies and procedures. What you will bring Knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Ability to lift and pull a minimum of 20 pounds and perform physical activities requiring significant use of arms and legs. Ability to be a team player. Manual dexterity, hearing, writing, and typing skills. Other duties may be assigned. Great if you have At least 1 year of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of all hotel departments and events. Good mathematical and computer skills. High school education and relevant training and experience; additional education preferred. Knowledge of the local area required. CPR and first aid training preferred. Additional language ability preferred.
