Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) position is available in a Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor located in Independence, Missouri. The role involves providing specialized inpatient acute rehab care, with a focus on patient-centered services such as goal setting and hourly rounding. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Independence, MO
• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, three shifts per week, with every third weekend required
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, inpatient acute rehab experience, familiarity with FIM and CARE Tool measures, Med/Surg nursing experience, proficiency with Meditech 5.6 electronic medical record system, no minimum years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required for similar units
• Additional Information:
  • Unit type: Rehab Center with all private rooms, newly equipped, and set up as Rehab Suites
  • Units staff current RN team members with 4 or more years of experience
  • A one-week orientation is included in the contract to ensure high-quality care standards
  • Schedule options include block scheduling upon request
  • The unit maintains high standards with a current quality metric at 83.8, above the national benchmark
  • Procedures performed include wound care, line insertion, and blood and antibiotic administration
