Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist registered specializing in pediatric care is sought for a 13-week assignment in a healthcare facility located in Macon, Georgia. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory services, including assessment, treatment, and patient education, primarily focused on pediatric patients. The position requires a professional licensed Respiratory Therapist with a focus on pediatric care, capable of operating ventilatory equipment, performing procedures, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: Respiratory Therapist (RT) licensed, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); Education: Appropriate degree or certification for RT; Location: Macon, Georgia; Experience: 0 years minimum.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric respiratory care experience is a plus.
• Performs evaluation and recommends treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Operates various ventilatory and oxygen devices, including invasive and non-invasive equipment.
• Conducts routine chest x-ray reviews, pulmonary function studies, and arterial punctures.
• Assists with procedures such as bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and chest tube placement.
• Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Maintains accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses.
• Communicates effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assists in equipment maintenance and performs self-tests on ventilatory devices.
• Completes all assigned duties related to respiratory care in accordance with facility policies.
