Occupational Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, administering, directing, and supervising occupational therapy treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. This role embraces a commitment to superior patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' levels of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, and assist with new staff orientation.
• Promote patient and employee safety through adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with patients and family members, tailoring information to their understanding.
• Demonstrate strong evaluation skills and provide individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance patient care.
• Manage time and set priorities efficiently while being flexible with scheduling.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current state license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Occupational Therapy is required.
