Site Manager

TRC's client, a growing automation and controls organization, is seeking a Building Automation Site Manager to oversee onsite execution of building automation projects.

This individual will serve as the primary field representative, coordinating subcontractors, customers, commissioning teams, and trades to ensure successful installation, startup, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership

• Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and trade partners

• Support commissioning teams with field technical assistance

• Prioritize and coordinate installation activities across multiple trades

• Participate in commissioning and project coordination meetings

• Build and maintain strong customer and subcontractor relationships

• Controls, Instrumentation & Design

• Review P&IDs, specifications, and construction documents to develop instrument lists

• Research and recommend instrumentation including temperature, pressure, and flow transmitters, actuators, and control devices

• Verify installation completion of instrumentation and electrical panels

• Identify and help resolve field installation discrepancies

• Commissioning & Startup

• Support customer demonstrations and acceptance testing activities

• Participate in loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning execution

• Coordinate field design modifications and issue resolution

• Monitor commissioning progress and readiness across project systems

• Project Management

• Maintain procurement logs and installation tracking documentation

• Verify incoming equipment deliveries and coordinate site handoff

• Support MEP subcontractors and field construction activities

• Track project scope, field quality requirements, and schedule milestones

• Prepare detailed daily site reports documenting progress and conditions

• Coordinate commissioning schedules and project turnover activities

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent industry experience

• Previous Site Management, Construction Management, or Project Management experience

• Experience organizing and leading customer and internal project meetings

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

• Understanding of large-building HVAC systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS)

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and sequences of operation

• Understanding of HVAC instrumentation, control valves, and actuators

• Experience with building automation and/or industrial control systems

• Commissioning, startup, or field controls experience preferred
