Reports To: Regional Vice President of Operations Market: Atlanta, GA

Job Summary

The Senior District Manager leads and develops a team of District Managers across the Atlanta market, driving sales, profit, and operational excellence for the restaurant portfolio within the market. This role builds district-level leadership bench strength, ensures consistent execution of Arby's Operational Standards, and partners closely with the Regional VP of Operations / Vice President of Operations to deliver the market's Annual Operating Plan, working within the framework of company values and policies.

Responsibilities

●    Build a culture of People First across the Atlanta market by engaging, recognizing, and coaching District Managers to live the company values; ensure a deep bench of District Manager and General Manager talent through effective succession planning and continuous professional development.

●    Drive sales and profit performance across all districts by building a strategic, period- and quarter-aligned market calendar with each District Manager, conducting regular restaurant visits (announced and unannounced) alongside District Managers, and holding business performance conversations that teach and coach on expectations.

●    Increase sales by coaching District Managers to teach and coach their General Manager teams on food safety, product quality, friendliness, cleanliness, accuracy, and speed of service; ensure required brand audits are completed on schedule for every restaurant in the market.

●    Ensure the Atlanta market is properly staffed at all levels with high-quality, well-trained teams by actively recruiting and hiring District Managers, supporting District Managers in filling management vacancies, and building a robust talent bench to support future growth.

●    Own attainment of the market's Annual Operating Plan by conducting monthly business reviews with each District Manager, analyzing P&L, scorecards, and food and labor performance, and reviewing weekly, period, and quarterly financials/KPIs to ensure controls are in place and reported numbers are accurate.

●    Develop Certified Training Restaurants throughout the market, ensure the consistent execution of LEAD, and own the integrity of the training process for all incoming District Manager and General Manager talent.

●    Review the performance of each District Manager annually, including all management appraisals, and monitor district management salaries, recommending adjustments as needed.

●    Communicate business planning,  performance, action plans, and opportunities to the Regional  VP of Operations; take action to solve problems and hold underperforming districts accountable to defined goals.

●    Provide situational leadership by engendering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude, and commitment to company objectives; maintain excellent working knowledge and a high level of proficiency in all phases of restaurant operations.

●    Ensure all marketing plans are communicated and executed on time across the market, including proper installation of marketing materials and menu elements (in-store and online), accurate forecasting, and scheduling/leading all new product training.

●    Ensure the maintenance of all facilities and equipment across the market and that the market purchases quality products that meet specifications at fair prices; approve all new vendors submitted through the required system.

●    Become involved with local Atlanta community business leaders by participating in community activities and functions on behalf of the brand; maintain contact with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues quickly.

●    Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description as market needs evolve.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field

Experience and Qualifications

Minimum: 8+ years of restaurant management experience, including at least 4 years as a District Manager overseeing multiple restaurants.

Preferred: Proven experience directly leading multiple District Managers within a multi-district structure; prior success in a growth organization; experience with the Arby's brand or a comparable QSR concept.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

●    Demonstrates the ability to develop and execute strategic planning, organizational, and financial acumen that drives business growth and profitability across a multi-district market.

●    Experience leading and developing District Managers and multi-unit leadership teams, including building a strong talent management and bench-planning strategy, creating a talent pipeline, and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

●    Excellent communication with effective messaging and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and interact effectively with District Managers, the Director of Operations/DVP, and all levels of the organization, external partners, and customers.

●    Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety, labor laws, and licensing across the Atlanta market, including alcohol compliance for relevant brands.

●    Experience driving operational excellence, customer service, and continuous improvement across multiple districts, including developing and implementing best practices, standard operating procedures, and performance metrics.

●    Advanced strategic problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly across competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-unit environment.

●    Strong organizational and time-management skills, detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to manage a portfolio of 4–6 districts and prioritize effectively.

●    Proficiency in a range of technology applications, including restaurant management and reporting software, and the Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

●    Flexibility to work all shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to travel extensively throughout the Atlanta market, including occasional overnight travel for meetings and training.

●    Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level when needed, including long periods of walking, standing on hard surfaces, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 45 pounds.

●    The repetitive use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects is required. Finger dexterity is required for cash register and computer use. Tolerate constant exposure to cold and hot restaurant equipment and moderate to loud noise throughout the day.

Position Details

Direct Reports: District Manager

Travel Required: Valid Driver's License and ability to drive to locations throughout the Atlanta market daily. Must be able to spend at least 75% of time working in market restaurants, with occasional overnight travel required for meetings and training.
