Accounting Assistant TemporaryLocation: Foothill Ranch, CASalary Pay Range and Other Compensation: $24 - $29/hr., based on skills and abilitiesEmployment Type: Full-Time 4-6 monthsFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSchedule: Onsite 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. dailyAbout the Role:The Accounting Assistant provides essential transactional and administrative support to the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. This role supports accounts payable and receivable processes, reconciliations, financial reporting assistance, and audit preparation, operating under established procedures and supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Support: Process vendor invoices, payment requests, and employee reimbursements. Record customer payments and assist with collections and vendor inquiries. * Data Entry, Records and Reconciliations: Enter financial transactions accurately into accounting systems. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and research discrepancies. Maintain organized electronic and physical financial records. * Reporting and Close Support: Assist with preparation of financial reports, schedules, and summaries. Compile documentation to support audits and month-end and year-end close activities. * Administrative and Team Support: Provide general administrative support to accountants and finance leadership. Support continuous improvement of accounting workflows and documentation.Qualifications:* High school diploma or GED required. * 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP/AR, or related administrative experience required. * Working knowledge of basic accounting principles. * Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy. * Effective organizational, time-management, and communication skills. * Ability to perform prolonged periods of computer-based work. * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. * Ability to work onsite.
