The Lawn Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the health and appearance of residential and commercial lawns. This role involves diagnosing turf issues, applying fertilizers and pest control products, and operating specialized lawn care equipment. The ideal candidate is an outdoor enthusiast with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Apply now - starting salary with no experience is $14.00 an hour, but after training and certification, salary increases are very quick.   

Responsibilities

• Lawn Treatment & Maintenance: Apply fertilizers, weed control, fungicides, and insecticides to lawns and landscapes according to industry standards and safety regulations.

• Inspection & Diagnosis: Evaluate lawns to identify pests, diseases, weeds, or nutrient deficiencies, and recommend appropriate treatment plans.

• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including aerators, seeders, spreaders, and commercial sprayers.

• Customer Service: Act as the face of the company by interacting professionally with clients, answering questions about their lawn health, and explaining treatment processes.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of chemicals used, services performed, and customer recommendations using digital tracking systems or route sheets.

• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to state and federal regulations regarding the handling, storage, and disposal of pesticides and chemicals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Previous experience in landscaping, lawn care, or agricultural labor is a major plus, but we will train the right candidate!.

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record

• Pesticide Applicator License: Must possess, or be willing to obtain within a specified timeframe, a state-mandated commercial pesticide applicator license or technician certification.
