Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position at a hospital in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience and a valid NM or Compact RN license.

Details

• General medical-surgical inpatient nursing unit with occasional non-critical pediatric patients
• Rehab unit coverage also included in scope
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Floating required
• Census-based flex on-call may occur prior to shift start when census is low; no formal on-call schedule
• 13-week contract
• EMR: MedHost
• Any scrub color is acceptable

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the contract start date
• Valid US driver's license required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico

Additional Information

• General med/surg nursing duties including occasional care for non-critical pediatric patients
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local travelers will not be considered
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible
• RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request
