Material Handler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler in Bridgeport, New Jersey for an approximately five-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory operations by loading, unloading, moving, tracking, and storing materials. The Material Handler will use forklifts and other material-handling equipment while maintaining accurate inventory records across multiple databases.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• 1-2 years of inventory management experience.
• 1-2 years of warehouse forklift experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to accurately enter and maintain inventory information in multiple databases.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize warehouse materials.
• Ability to follow instructions and consistently follow up on assigned tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a team.

What You'll Do

• Load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse and work areas.
• Support shipping and receiving activities.
• Load and unload pallets, racks, conveyors, machines, and trucks.
• Open containers, count and weigh materials, and accurately record inventory information.
• Enter and maintain material and inventory data within applicable databases.
• Move materials using forklifts, hand trucks, electric dollies, wheelbarrows, hoists, and other material-handling equipment.
• Stack, organize, and prepare materials for storage or distribution.
• Assist machine operators and other personnel with moving heavy or awkward materials.
• Support physical inventory verification and inventory-control activities.
• Maintain accurate records and organized warehouse operations.

Pay

• $19.00-$23.00 per hour.
