Sanitation Technician IITo assist in complying with State, Federal and government regulations for the production and storage of food by cleaning and sanitizing production, packaging, storage areas and production equipment in the manufacturing facility.Key Responsibility AreasResponsible for following all Food Safety Policies & Safety Procedures.Plan and coordinate daily sanitation activities to ensure cleaning schedules are met.Inform Manager of issues in the department.Manages sanitation process ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected for cleanliness.Wear proper PPE and follow GMPs and other company rules.Maintains active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.Ensures sanitizing chemicals, safety equipment, power equipment and manual tools are being used correctly and safely.Makes sound decisions based on managers guidanceWorks in an organized manor to meet daily goalsAble to accept and give feedback and modify behaviors accordinglySelf-motivated and continuously looking to improveResponsible for work done and focused on improvingClearly communicates to others and actively listensBuilds partnerships for teamworkOverall sanitation of a USDA food plantUtilizes all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)Adheres to and understands Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Maintain commitment to personal development and participate in job specific training.Perform other duties as assigned.CompetenciesAnalyzes available data to make informed decisionsAble to multi task and manage competing priorities to meet or exceed expectationsAble to prioritize effectively to meet goals and deadlinesEffectively copes with change and able to give and receive feedbackDrives continuous improvement and able to motivate othersCommitted to organizational success and takes ownership for resultsEffective oral and written communications across functionsAble to develop interpersonal relationships to achieve goalsDimensionsPrimary shift responsibility for this position is 3rd shift 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.Sanitation Technician II may be responsible for sanitation activities in multiple buildings.QualificationsB.S in science field or Certified Sanitarian is preferredMinimum of 5 years experience in sanitation in a food manufacturing plant and supervisory experience is requiredKnowledge in HACCP, Microbiology, Sanitation, Chemical Safety, Pest Control, and GFSI standardsUnderstands and complies with government regulations relating to OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPACommunication and coaching skillsAssertive professional mannerSelf-MotivationLeadership SkillsExcellent analytical and root cause analysis skillsAble to develop work instructions and documentationTraining skillsComputer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power PointFlexibility in work schedule, able to work periodically on a shift rotationWhy is This a Great OpportunityThis Premier Food Manufacturer recently was added to a massive player's portfolio within the big brand food industry with tremendous upside in terms of growth.High visibility with the senior corporate structure and lots of room to be a key player in the ongoing growth of the firmExcellent Benefit package
